Problem with windows minimizing,

Hi,

I have only one complaint/problem with slitaz. Everytime I minimize a window, it disappears. Is there a way to have them not run away on the taskbar and disappear?

Re: Problem with windows minimizing,

They disappear from the desktop area and the task bar. I have the "desktop pager" in the taskbar. When I minimize say firefox, it's gone.

Re: Problem with windows minimizing,

Right click lxpanel to right of Desktop Pager where Task Bar (Window List) should be located.

Is "Task Bar (Window List)" Settings at top of menu ?

If no then right click lxpanel choose Add/Remove Panel Items/Panel Applets tab

You should have Task Bar (Window List)Stretch box checked below Desktop Pager.

If not add it.

Still broken ?

Login to root desktop, open then minimize windows.

Does a button appear in lxpanel Task Bar for each minimized window ?

If it works for root account then the configuration for the account where it doesn't is bad.

lxpanel user configuration file location:

Change tux to user account name if different.

/home/tux/.config/lxpanel/default/panels/panel

Delete the file called panel in bold.

Logout/in or reboot.

You now have a clean default configuration of lxpanel with working Task Bar.
