slitaz applications "launcher" button config question (color/name/font)

I've been working with slitaz4 the past 2-3 weeks, had a question regarding the "launcher" button.  The one that opens the application menu (start button in windoze parlance)...

Can the text, text color, fontface, and font size be customized?

I've been bouncing back and forth between the lxPanel howtos and the openbox howtos, along with forum posts trying to find out where this is set, not having any luck.

The default text color is white, and didn't change to black when I changed the panel font settings proper (but the text for the running tasks did change as expected).  Wanted to try a custom panel color that more closely matches MS Win Classic (for my father, to ease him away from Windoze).  In doing so the word 'applications' is difficult to read with white text on light grey background.

I've found where you can change the openbox menu settings/names/layouts for the menu proper where all of the application links reside.

I've also found where you can easily change the button icon to something different.

I have also seen several screenshots using lxPanel that have no launcher-button text at all, just the icon.  That itself would be fine, can add text to a pixmap if necessary.

This is prolly extremely simple, but I'm suprised that you can't just click on the button itself and have the capability to change the text/font/color along with the icon.

Re: slitaz applications "launcher" button config question (color/name/font)

I added "Menu" from the panel apps which looks like the stock lxpanel (no text) and then removed the packaged one. You can then use the right-click dialogue to set the icon on the menu.

Edit  /usr/share/desktop-directories/SliTazMenu.directory

#Name=Applications removes text label from menu button or change Applications for a different label.

The icon can also be changed here,you don't have to enter the path or file extension if the file is put in /use/share/pixmaps

[Desktop Entry]

Name=Applications

Name[de]=Anwendungen

Name[es]=Aplicaciones

Name[fr]=Applications

Name[pt]=Aplicações

Icon=slitaz-menu

Type=Directory

Encoding=UTF-8

Most of the other configurations are in the global section of /etc/lxpanel/slitaz/panels/panel

Re: slitaz applications "launcher" button config question (color/name/font)

Thanks mojo for the tip.  I had seen that listing while I was looking thru the other *.directory files.

Commenting out will remove, but still cannot change font face or color.  I'll keep looking at the lxpanel docs for other options for the *.directory.

Again, dunno if I'm trying to beat the proverbial "dead horse", since I have created a pixmap that includes text (which will look just fine with the title commented out, now that I know how).

I've had to do the same with a WinClassic layout with IceWM before, but I was hoping it was like XFCE.  Just right-clicking on the button let you set the icon (if desired), but could also change the button text in the same dialog.
