Laptop Over Heating

I have been triple booting Windows XP,Beini Linux,and Slitaz, on a Compaq Evo N620c laptop. When I boot Slitaz the laptop shuts down after 3 to 5 min. I have noticed the cpu fan is off when I boot Slitaz and never runs. The cpu fan runs ok under XP and Beini and the laptop never shuts down. How can I get Slitaz to run my cpu fan so it won't over heat?

It's because the CPU's acpi features doesn't always work like it's supposed to with SliTaz.
