Hello,
I have smth like a beginners-problem with my screen resolution. I installed Slitaz 4.0 on an old Coppermine-Celeron PC, and nearly everything works quite fine.
But I have a problem to save my prefered screen resolution. After logout it falls back to the maximum resolution, which is 1600*1200 and for my taste, everything looks too small. I can change the resolution without any problem to lower values (LXRandR), but every Restart of X leads to the 1600*1200 resolution.
I tried to edit the xorg.conf, but it made everything just worse. I found the "50-Monitor.conf" file and the part:
#DisplaySize 330 240 # mm
deleted the "#" and changed the values to my prefered resolution. The resolution changed, but in the wrong direction. I wrote 1152 864, but he showed smth like 3000 * 2000 (totally unusable), so my trial and error xorg.conf manipulation leaded to an error.
Any ideas?

Actually, what I said is that xorg might default to using the vesa driver instead of the one you installed for your video card. In cases like that, the best solution is to REMOVE vesa after you installed the right xorg driver. Then after a reboot it should default to the right driver instead of vesa.
