Hi, As a total newbie to Linux, I'm trying to trial the Live CD on a PC running Pentium III 1Ghz with just 256Mb of RAM, before biting the bullet and removing Windoze XP Pro SP3 and hopefully replacing it with Slitaz.
The problem I have is that after presenting the boot option GUI, it goes into command line mode [as Linux does] but stops asking for UN & PW. I've tried root | hacker etc but not joy at all.
However, on a different PC I'm running VMWare and created a virtual machine with 256Mb of RAM and this fired up the Live CD pefectly.
Any advice will be much appreciated and thank you for reading this!

Would you mind booting back into the LiveCD on that system and then choosing the option "SliTaz justx Live" and then reporting back if a window appeared? (It should be a terminal window)
You will also need to choose a keyboard setup (You'll get the dialog after choosing that option) before the system can continue. You should probably just choose the first option 'us'.
