wireless and ralink rt2860sta

Hi,

New cooking iso in live mode.

I have an EeePc 901 with ralink rt2860sta wireless

In live mode, trying to connect wireless...I need to write in the network box (after entry as root) wlan0. I clic over the refresh button but any wireless net appears.

I am not shure the ralink driver is on.

help?

Have the same card, same issue rt2860sta with cooking. no connections.

Do you have firmware-rt2x00-20110227.tazpkg installed?

More help needed:

Post outout: lspci -nn | grep -i net

Open 2 xterms:

xterm a: tail -f /var/log/messages

xterm b: modprobe rt2860sta

Post error messages in xterm a

I Dont have the unit on me, I will see if I have that package installed.

Ooh wait, I cannot use that package, I am running 3.0 stable. any ideas?

Firmware is not compiled,it doesn't matter which version of slitaz the firmware-rt2x00-20110227.tazpkg is installed on.

I use it on both 3.0 stable and cooking with a Tenda W311U wireless adapter with the rt2870sta module.
