@swisser30
Slitaz-2.0 is kernel version 2.6.25.5
Your Slitaz kernel version 2.6.29.3 is a pre-release of slitaz-3.0
Slitaz-3.0 is kernel version 2.6.30.6
# tazpkg set-release 3.0
Tazpkg connects/downloads software from mirror.slitaz.org/packages/3.0 works here.

I wish the SliTaz aircrack-ng would just update or die off. It's based off the cooking between SliTaz 2 and SliTaz 3 and completely screwy. Just use SliTaz 3 or 4 with the aircrack-ng package from the repository!

@swisser30
Run tazpkg command returning error in terminal:
[c]wget http://mirror.slitaz.org/mirrors[/c]
If it downloads mirrors file reinstall tazpkg.
# [c]tazpkg -gi tazpkg --forced[/c]

Re: Swisser30.. Just download SliTax 4.0 .then copy the download ISO to you usb device.. then have one of your frriends burn it.. Surely your friends will help.. they can even burn it from (shudder) Windows.. GDay

Buggy SliTaz 3.0 when i use [c]tazpkg recharge[/c] it creates a [c]mirrors[/c] file with a list when i again use [c]tazpkg recharge[/c] it updates list createing new [c]mirrors[/c] and old ones goes down to [c]mirrors.bak[/c] same as the other files in that dir get .bak extension.
But when i use above mentioned [c]tazpkg setup-mirror[/c] command it returns list of Current mirror(s) with listed original mirrors from [c]mirror[/c] file (w/o s at the end of filename) and difference is huge as mirrors use http://mirror.switch.ch/ftp/mirror/slitaz/ same mirror in mirror use http://mirror.switch.ch/ftp/mirror/slitaz/packages/3.0/ and there's no lxrandr.tazpkg in 3.0 repository only in 4.0 http://mirror.switch.ch/ftp/mirror/slitaz/packages/4.0/lxrandr-0.1.2.tazpkg
For us newbies is it safe to use 4.0 packages, i know old lxrandr work on 3.0. And how to add different mirror to Package Manager in Slitaz. I know there's [Configuration] tab buut should changing MirrorURL there mess up the whole package list of installed/available packages. Is it safe to mess up with that?

You can try to use a SliTaz 4 package with SliTaz 3, but know that not all packages will work, because the newer package may have newer requirements.
Offline
Does that mean that are packages statically compiled? Because thankfully [c]lxrandr-0.1.2.tazpkg[/c] (both in [c]/stable[/c] & [c]/4.0[/c]) works but let say [c]spacefm-0.7.0.tazpkg[/c] asks for [c]libffi.so.5[/c]
And after changing mirrors i get packet managers weir behavior, typing for a package opens that floating find box but after enter it simply refreshes and i have to scroll.
How good is actually [c]tazpkg remove[/c] or is it simply better to [c]reboot[/c] after installing package that doesnt work. And against that, also always doing [c]tazusb writefs[/c] with every small change that satisfy my needs?
Offline
Do not change mirrors to get SliTaz 4 packages. It WILL break SliTaz 3 and probably try to (badly) upgrade to SliTaz 4. THIS IS NOT A BUG. If your SliTaz installation breaks because you did this, it's your own fault.
Use http://pkgs.slitaz.org/ and search for the package you want. Then download the file and try installing it with tazpkg install /path/to/package.tazpkg
