writeiso on cooking 20110531

First off I would like to say a huge thank you to all the devs involved in putting out this excellent distro!

I am running the new cooking iso in a VirtualBox VM like I have run all the previous versions of SliTaz I have used.  I am using the Tazlito box to create an iso of my current filesystem, when I run it the iso grows to about 292mb (which is what I expect) then it says:

genisoimage: No space left on device.  Cannot fwrite 32768*1

Creating hybrid ISO...

Creating the ISO md5sum...

Then my iso ends up being only 231mb (once it was only 56mb)

I am using all the same settings in the VM that I have always used for SliTaz.

Any suggestions?

1) not enough space: tazlito writes to the home directory partition. I'd guess it is full (or can't grow.) Since it is a VM, you might check both the virtual disk size as well as available space on the host drive.

2) When you use the tazlito writeiso command it includes /home in the image. This may include the /home/slitaz directory, I'm not sure. Either way this is probably why the iso is so large.

3) the size of the iso created is too small and changes size because the operation did not complete. What you have there is a bad, incomplete iso image left behind after the initial failure. Once you resolve the space problem the iso will be created and compressed correctly.

1)I gave the VM an 8gb virtual disc and the host machine has just shy of 200gb left

2)I was prepared for the file to be this large, my last SliTaz appliance was 295mb, I don't have a /home/slitaz/ dir until the iso is created, then SliTaz makes it for me

3)Understood, just need to get the space problem sorted out.

I may delete the VM, start a new cooking VM and rebuild my appliance and try again, I'll post back up with my results.

Not really sure what happened, I deleted the VM and started over.  Worked perfectly, even with the same settings.

Anyway, thanks bb for the reply and thanks to the whole community for this awesome distro.
