Hi,
I am faced to the following message when launching gparted:
[c]root@slitaz:/home/tux# gparted
error: dbus_bus_get: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.FileNotFound: Failed to connect to socket /var/run/dbus/system_bus_socket: No such file or directory
root@slitaz:/home/tux#[/c]
And for info here are my partitions:
[c]root@slitaz:/home/tux# fdisk -l
Disk /dev/sda: 500.1 GB, 500107862016 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 60801 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes
Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/sda1 1 22417 180060128+ 7 HPFS/NTFS
/dev/sda2 22417 35165 102400000 c Win95 FAT32 (LBA)
/dev/sda3 * 35165 41602 51702784 83 Linux
/dev/sda4 41602 48069 51948544 83 Linux
root@slitaz:/home/tux#[/c]
I forced to re-install gparted but nothing changed. Same error.
Any hints?
Cheers.

This is related to dbus more than gparted. By the looks of the error your dbus daemon isn't running.

Thx Trixar, as suggested I started dbus daemon and hald deamon.
Works now.
