Slitaz 4 does not detect laptop keyboard(s)!

I decided to upgrade to Slitaz 4. I was glad to find out that it finally detects graphics cards properly and sets the correct resolution. So I choose the language (english for Britain) and the keymap (pl2), then I boot into the system... To find that it didn't detect my keyboard. Obviously this means that I cannot really do ANYTHING except for dicking around with the UI. The issue is present on two laptops that I tested the system on (Lenovo 3000 N100 and the laptop I intend to install SliTaz to: Compaq Armada M700). I am forced to plug in an external keyboard, hopefully it will work. On a side note, how do I install SliTaz to hard drive now that I can't find the SliTaz installer anymore?

UPDATE: This is actually a problem with the pl2 keymap because when I chose a different keymap (in this case, german-latin qwertz), it works. This is a bug that needs to be fixed.

UPDATE2: I am currently Installing SliTaz via Tazpanel. Cool tool! Looks like Slitaz 4 is more than just a reskin!

UPDATE3: Now I cannot type in Polish characters, and the config file system has changed. Does anyone know how I can switch to a polish keymap without disabling it in the process?

SOLUTION:

go to etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/40-keyboard.conf as root and

Change

Option "XkbLayout" "(whatever it is)"

to

Option "XkbLayout" "pl"

then logout and log back in. You should be able to type polish letters like Ą Ę etc.
