how to play stream video?

Hi everyone!

I didn't manage to run stream video on my Slitaz 4.0.

mplayer udp://@238.0.0.5:1234

MPlayer 1.0rc4-4.5.2 (C) 2000-2010 MPlayer Team

MMX supported but disabled

MMX2 supported but disabled

SSE supported but disabled

3DNow supported but disabled

3DNowExt supported but disabled

mplayer: could not connect to socket

mplayer: No such file or directory

Failed to open LIRC support. You will not be able to use your remote control.

Playing udp://@238.0.0.5:1234.

STREAM_UDP, URL: udp://@238.0.0.5:1234

Timeout! No data from host 238.0.0.5

udp_streaming_start failed

No stream found to handle url udp://@238.0.0.5:1234

The same command is worked under Ubuntu workstation, so this is not a router related issue. It looks like udp is disabled somewhere in the system or even in kernel. Any ideas ?

Thanks.

Re: how to play stream video?

Try it without the @ symbol. I doubt it's part of any udp address.

Also make sure there is actually an active stream at the address. Just because there once was one there doesn't mean it's active right now.

Re: how to play stream video?

udp://@238.0.0.5:1234 is a valid address in my network. And it does work properly when Ubuntu or Windows is started right after Slitaz.
