Video Problems with Savage

Greetings to all those that make that Slitaz is every better time...!

The problem that I have is the following one:

One friend wants to have Slitaz in his computer and it asked me him to install it;

everything went well with their computer, the recent version 4 of Slitaz installed quickly and I began then to install several software packages; the machine in question is something old: a Pentium 4, with chipset of Via and in the graphic part a Savage DDR. The problems began when I installed xorg-xf86-video-savage, the Mesa libs and the utilities of these.

When making a glxinfo he informs me that the direct render is working and then it finishes with an error of configuration of MTRR. If I run glxgears, the window doesn't show anything and glxgears it is hung; the system is also hung if I press the sequence ctr-alt-backspace; if I can open another terminal with ctrl-alt-f1; but when returning to the graphic terminal with ctrl-alt-f7, the system is totally hung...

Good, then I remembered that some years ago, there for the 2010 Slitaz 3 had installed  in a machine with video chip Savage and that she had not had any problem; I proceeded then to check that indeed glxgears works perfectly and the machine responds correctly to ctrl-alt-backspace.

Now my question is:

Can  upgrade of the version 3 at the 4 of Slitaz, but without upgrading xorg, neither mesa neither libdrm?

Or be maybe but convenient to install Slitaz 4 and then downgrade xorg, mesa and libdrm to the versions of Slitaz 3?

The truth that not you which option is the but convenient; from the installation of Slitaz 3 attempted with tazpkg-box to mount him packages-4.0.iso and he doesn't make it.

From the installation of Slitaz 4 and if I rename packages-3.0.iso to packages-4.0.iso, from the administration of packages of Tazpanel, if he takes me the iso and it warns me that they are slitaz packages 3.
