XBMC

I have been playing with XBMC on my jailbroken AppleTV, which is amazing. XBMC modified Ubuntu to make os called XBMCbuntu. My goal was to install this on a Raspberry Pi to make my own low cost media center box. Raspberry Pi is a little amazing computer with HDMI, two USB ports, Ethernet port, SD card, etc...... And costs $35. I worry that this XBMCbuntu may be too big for this little computer. Since I love SliTaz, I thought it would be perfect, but I don't know if anyone has been able to install XBMC on SliTaz. 

I know everyone loves free movies, TV, and sports, and this little box would be so cool. Would this be possible ?

You could try it yourself, I managed to install Spotify on my SliTaz PC. Try to download it from the ubuntu repositories and then do a TazPkg convert so that it would become  a .tazpkg file. The when it's installed you should launch it from terminal emulator so that you'll find out what errors (if any) it'll encounter.

I love SliTaz too and think it the ideal platform, BUT:

maybe you should have a look at OpenELEC, which is a minimal Linux coded just and only to run XBMC. As far as I know, there's even a Raspberry Pi version already compiled.

I'm still waiting for my Pi, but a colleage told me of running OpenELEC on his.
