SliTaz and Windows Networking

I'm a *complete* Linux noob..  Stayed up most of night trying to get SliTaz 3.0 iso on CD working with old Windows98 machine (Inspiron 3200)..

Boots okay, but not connecting to ethernet..  I've got as far as needing to install Samba/smbfs (above), but could sure use a braindead walkthrough, or pointers..

Thanks for any help!

Inspiron 3200 has 32 bit cardbus slot for ethernet.

PC Card

PCI controller     Texas Instruments PCI 1131 CardBus controller

PC Card connectors     2 (supports 2 type I or type II cards or 1 type III card)

Cards supported     3.3- and 5-V

PC Card connector size     68 pins

Data width (maximum)     32 bits
