Slitaz Cooking 20110531 is not working on my laptop

Hello guys!

I have Slitaz cooking 20110531 iso. I am trying it to boot from usb.

Whenever I boot it, i got a blank screen after the loading is completed, i.e I get to see the text messages that come during the loading, but as soon as it enters the graphical mode, all i can see is blank screen.

This problem was not available in slitaz 3.0 and previous slitaz cooking.

I think this problem is may be because of the linux-drm and linux-agp present in this cooking version because these were not present in earlier versions. The earlier vesions used vesa mode. But whenever I install linux-drm, linux-agp and intel graphics drivers I used to get blank screen.

I face this problem in nearly every linux distro even in Ubuntu. So guys, If you have any knowledge, advice, tips, solution or anything regarding this problem please post it.

thank you for your reply.

But as I have understood the problem is something related to drm.

If I use nomodeset at boot I get slitaz to work but then I get a 1024x768 resolution which ugly on my wide screen.

I face this problem on nearly every linux. So, I want to understand this thing and solve it. So that I can solve it on other distros also.
