Problems in video playback(possibly hardware acceleration problems)

long story short, vlc plays videos with a massive frame drop, mplayer plays video in 1/4 of their speed

tried installing the nvidia x server but i keep getting:

"you do not appear to be using the nvidia x driver.

please edit your x configuration file(just run 'nvidia-xconfig' as root). and restart the x server"

please help!

my video card is nvidia geforce 9300m and I'm using slitaz 3.0

Re: Problems in video playback(possibly hardware acceleration problems)

Check out http://doc.slitaz.org/en:guides:xorg-xvesa. There is a section on how to install nvidia non-free driver. I suspect this is what you are after...
