I updated ScummVM today and I'm wondering which other packages in SliTaz's is in dire need of an update.
I'm only trying minor updates for now, so please don't request major updates that broke backward compatibility or just breaks everything else. If one version compiles with similar arguments than the one before it, then it's fine as an update candidate.

Well thats not an update what i request, its more a Feature Request.
Its possible to do the dir command ?
I dont know if is only me, but i cant do a "dir" on a terminal.

Open your ~/.profile and add alias for [c]dir[/c] as [c]ls -C[/c]. Sadly, Busybox's [c]ls[/c] not supported [c]-b[/c] option.

or, use the special command "format c:" in conjunction with the dir driver, (generally known as XP or Win7...)

Really, I could not resiste to that one (which is not mine by the way but is extratracted from an "old" story of an admin taking support calls and giving "advises" to his customers)
(use special command format c: was one of his recommandation...
and dir is a dos command, dating back to the pre-windows era
And it is more accurate to say that dir is the equivalent of Unix command ls
since unix was there before dos

IBM PC-DOS (and the separately sold MS-DOS) and its predecessor, 86-DOS, were loosely inspired by Digital Research's CP/M, which was the dominant disk operating system for 8-bit Intel 8080 and Zilog Z80 based microcomputers. PC-DOS ran on Intel 80x86-family processors.

DOS & QBasic for me is the beginning of my life.
I remember my first code that i've do it with 12 years old, without a computer ( neither Spectrum ):

I actually started on a Texas Instruments 99/4A. LOL!
But yeah Qbasic.
Now i've printed "hello world!" in about 10 other computer languages.
Too bad that's as far as i've gotten with most of them.

... and I spent the first 4 years of my professional IT life coding Z80 assembler on an at the time state-of-the-art industrial control system. But enough of our heroic deeds during better times and back to the bleak present and to Trixar's original post.
Last week there's been a brand-new 0.4.7 release of Midori. Although I don't think there is a 'dire need' for an update, Midori is the default browser in SliTaz and should therefore be kept up to date. So, if this doesn't cause too much trouble, my suggestion is Midori 0.4.7.

I'd also suggest latest midori, which rached v0.5.0.
The default one, v0.4.6 is a little too buggy and lacks of several features (eg. a decent bookmarks management tool)

The atftpd server package seems to be broken and could perhaps use an upgrade.
Issue description:
When you configure the server to allow tftp-writes, the files are typically written to the folder above the one specified. Example: setting /tftpboot as the destination results in the files landing in /. Destination /home/tftpboot > files go in /home.
When reading files, everything works ok. This is not an urgent problem (for me at least) but if an upgrade is made available, I volunteer to test it.

I was curious if gimp and libreoffice are available in the package manager. There was a package called gimp, but when I installed it and checked my applications I could not find it.

Really? The 'Gnu Image Manipulation Program' (aka G.I.M.P) link under Applications---> Graphics isn't there?
As for Midori, it compiles pretty well if you disable the zeitgeist check. Stills suffers from the bookmark menu not syncing when you add new bookmarks (does sync in the sidebox though). It also still crashes if you right-click the search box in the SliTaz start page. Otherwise it seems pretty stable to me.
