sakura on slitaz-cooking

Hi everybody,

on cooking I just installed sakura and when trying to open it I got the following error message:

tux@slitaz:~$ sakura: error while loading shared libraries: libpcre.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

The same with kompozer. Starting it the result is:

tux@slitaz:~$ kompozer-config

Usage: /usr/bin/kompozer-config [OPTIONS] [LIBRARIES]

Options:

        [--prefix[=DIR]]

        [--exec-prefix[=DIR]]

        [--version]

        [--defines]

        [--libs] [libraries]

        [--cflags] [components]

        [--idlflags]

Components:

    *

Libraries:

    xpcom

    nspr

    js

    jsj

    gfx

What to do to get the thing running?

Regards,

Michael

Thanks a lot, Gibor! I will try this tomorrow (this machine is elsewhere). I am in the deep province of Turkey where the ability of Slitaz to act quick on old hardware is appreciated even by hard-boiled Windows fans! ;-)

@gibor

thanks for your advice! It worked like it should but I finally escaped from cooking and went back to stable, where sakura worked out of the box. I needed it as it allows to paste into the konsole easier than xterm does that.

Re: sakura on slitaz-cooking

Hi Michael,

greatings to your east antatolian friends (I hope I remember correct)....

here is a rolling iso from 4.9. where sakura is working....

www.kult-ex.org/download/slitaz-rolling.iso

whats not working: tazpanel and automount in pcmanfm - you have to mount the partitions by hand, but this should not be a problem for you.

think, that rolling is at the moment under heavy development, so things are not working all the time.

The benefits of rolling - the i686 bug is history - so no more problem with geode, via and transmeta CPUS and the xorg vesa driver made a real improvement - like my Toshiba Portege R100 is supported the first time by Vesa (after nearly now 9 years - I think it appeared spring 2004) .....

Re: sakura on slitaz-cooking

Hi Thomas,

now Central Anatolia, to be quite exact. Benefits look great, but here I will give Slitaz on an old laptop to Turkish friends who are not that much experienced with Linux. Therefore stable 4.0 seems better.

Keep doing your good work!

Michael
