How can i get to gui from the terminal?

I just installed SiTaz to my hd, and when I start my computer  Slitaz loads into the command line. I am still so new to this that I do not know how to get to the GUI.

Can someone tell me how to do this?

I'd also be interested in making the system load directly to GUI.

Re: How can i get to gui from the terminal?

The most likely cause is that you have not loaded the correct video driver. If you 'lspci' on a terminal it will list the name of your video card (among other PCI devices on your system). Once you identify the video card that is installed in your system, the easiest way to install the driver will be to run 'tazx' command as root (make sure you have access to the Internet first). tazx will list commonly used video cards and you would need to select the appropriate card from this list and tazx will install the driver for you.

Whatever is on livedisc 4.0 works, livedisc 5.2 does not.

Likely the 'vesa' driver will be the one that worked on 4.0 livecd.

Try loading it via the grub kernel command line when booting.
