Hi,
After a lot of struggle I managed to get VPNC working under my slitaz installation. To get the package to work I had to compile from source removing some comments (OPENSSL compatibility). I would like to offer myself to fix this package and update it to the latest upstream version which is 0.5.3
However, I have no idea how to do this or who to talk to
Also since its the first thing I manage to recompile and make it work I don't have much experience with this kind of stuff, I guess I would need to use tazwok to build the package.
So, what would be the next step?
thanks for the distro!

Hi 655321,
Take a look at the vpnc receipt. Maintainer of this package is Pascal Bellard. He is great wise man, and is author of many hundreds (or maybe, thousands?) of receipts, and he read forum regularly.
Better if you post here, what is changes in sources you are implemented to take a positive effect. Also take a look to the sed line in the compile_rules() function in this receipt.

The only change I made actually was uncommenting 2 lines on the makefile, which removed the error vpnc gave me: "vpnc was built without openssl: Can't do hybrid or cert mode."
So I just removed the # from the OPENSSL lines, compiled and everything worked
Pretty minimal change but makes the app work.

I have installed vpnc 0.5.3 on slitaz 4.0
I tried to connect to a fritzbox and it's given an error:
vpnc: response was invalid [2]: (ISAKMP_N_INVALID_PAYLOAD_TYPE)(1)
The config file is ok und tested on an ubuntu vpnc.
What can I do?
