general news about kde/razor qt

but i remenber pankso run in a test Razor-qt

i have found and other project light:

Slax project (old project)

but ultim news

KDE in 177MB

Just say no to bloat. Fitting KDE in 177MB is amazing? Try 30MB for our SliTaz Qt!

We use RazorQt which gives you a very flexible KDE clone that will hog less of the resources. Pankso also recently updated and expanded the RazorQt components, so SliTaz Qt is just getting better and better...

I still prefer lighter alternatives. Give me LXDE or XFCE4 over GNOME anyday.

He admitted on the blog he could probably make it even smaller. But what's the point? KDE is mostly just bloat.

Not only bloat. KDE is well integrated desktop environment. Complete thing where you have all you need to work with system and manage system. And it have own interesting programs (maybe not so bloated, but using bloated KDE as its engine).

Well, I still prefer our not-well-integrated but light-and-speed SliTaz.

I'm more a hybrid fan. I like systems that are integratable parts, but which parts can also be used seperately. LXDE is an example of this.

You can also use parts of XFCE4 seperately, but it's a bit too integrated in itself so it's a pain to make some parts work with other components.

Not so much for MATE or that fork by Mint Linux (Cinnamon?). It's still way too bloated (as in all-inclusive and application heavy) for my taste.
