Will not shutdown

If I go through the 'Applications' menu and click 'Logout' which is also used for shutting down I get this error:

Failed to execute child process "desktopbox" (No such file or directory)

Have I deleted something wrong? Any help would be much appreciated.

I shutdown earlier using the 'poweroff' command but don't want to be using that all the tim.

Also I've been reading a lot about 'Control Box' in Slitaz? I have not got this application and can't find it.

[EDIT]: I managed to fix this.

Why do I get the distinct impression you either removed slitaz-tools-boxes or gtkdialog?

This is true I went back and looked at packages I'd removed and realised I'd removed slitaz-tools-boxes. Silly me.

I just installed the cooking version on my cousin's laptop and having problem shuting down/rebooting. When I try to shut it down or reboot, it doesn't doesn't do anything but give me a blank/black screen. And this is a fresh install. The only thing that was left for me to do is to press and hold the power button to turn it off and restart.

The rolling edition is a bit weird. I tried it earlier and couldn't boot into it after selecting the language and keyboard type. It just set the screen to standby. I got past this by setting these at boot. Otherwise, it ran OK after that.
