Hello I have been trying for over a year now to get my sisters VERIZON Android 4g
to tether with linux. Tried ubuntu, lubuntu, zorin, and so forth. Never could get it to work. Does anybody know how t o get her phone and her pc to tall to one and another as phone being the internet. Want to tether. She has the app downloaded and installed.
She has easy tether installed. Does any body know or if it is possible for slitaz to even do this?

Hi ooseven!
What are you mean 'tether'? It is a rare word for me. I used my modem on the phone (and all other phones) to connect to the Internet via GPRS.
I think, you can try next steps:
1. Determine your device:
a) Open terminal (you are in your home folder), type command:
[c]find /dev > dev1[/c]
b) Insert your Verizon 4g (USB?), select desired mode on your device (what are your modes, tell me, please), I think NOT as USB Drive;
c) Wait several seconds. In terminal type:
[c]find /dev > dev2[/c]
d) Now we have two listings—before and after device inserting. Let's compare them! In terminal:
[c]diff ./dev1 ./dev2[/c]
e) Do you see your device? Post here your output.
I have seen very few Android devices. One Android gives me an Eth interface, which was very easy to configure.

Tether is where it is hooked up by way of a usb wire.
It be a while before I repost, I'm a few miles from my sisters
pc and phone.
Will do bout next Thursday or Friday.
Tank you for your fast response.
I think she has Tether pro or easy tether.
I think it is easy tether.

Ok. And if it will Ethernet, you can configure it via TazPanel (http://tazpanel:82/network.cgi?eth).
