try running with stable version http://mirror.slitaz.org/iso/3.0/slitaz-3.0.iso , if you running with cooking version maybe problems with the intel chipset.

Your system doesn't have enough RAM to run the default LiveCD (you need atleast 160MB), but you can use one of the loram versions which you can find @ http://mirror.slitaz.org/iso/cooking/flavors/ for cooking or http://mirror.slitaz.org/iso/stable/flavors/ for SliTaz 3.

There is also a guide on them: http://doc.slitaz.org/en:guides:lowramcd

Yeah, I tried 3.0 on an old HP laptop with 128mb RAM and 475mHz cpu. It was no go, so I went for the 3.0-base.iso, which is command line only. Maybe I will try a loram version. Thanks, Trixar.

http://mirror.slitaz.org/iso/3.0/flavors/slitaz-3.0-3in1.iso will detect the available RAM and will launch the according flavor (base, justx or core)...

But http://mirror.slitaz.org/iso/3.0/flavors/slitaz-3.0-loram.iso is the best choice with 128M.

Re: Can't boot Slitaz on Dell Optiplex GX110;126MB RAM; 9GB HD

I have the same problem as the OP with Slitaz 3.0 stable on a Dell, 256MB ram, 700MHz celeron proc.  It had Windows 98 previously installed and allegedly working, but was wiped with DBAN prior to me receiving it.

I've run MEMTEST for several hours on the ram, went through the complete test many times w/o fail.

I've been able to get a puppy linux version running for a short time, but it "blacks out" after 3-5 minutes.  The puplet I was running has about a 170MB footprint.

I'll try the loram version and report back.

Tried the loram iso suggested above, but same issue.  The computer is the Dell Dimension L700cx.  It does seem as though there is a hardware incompatibility.  Perhaps b/c its a dell?

Re: Can't boot Slitaz on Dell Optiplex GX110;126MB RAM; 9GB HD

finally solved the issue.  It boiled down to a very old video driver for the integrated video on the dell board.  While I love slitaz for super-smallness, I had to use Puppy linux, the Wary pup LTS, specially designed for OLD equipment.  Its a nice desktop, looks good but far from extravagant.
