Global Proxy

Hi, I recently installed SliTaz on an old laptop (which did wonders).

But I'm having a problem with using the packages manager to get new software. I know what the problem is, I just can't solve it.

Everything goes through a proxy server, and I cannot for the life of me apply the proxy to the entire OS. I've found multiple tutorials and posts about this issue and nothing's worked.

Please note, I know little to nothing about using the terminal in Linux so I'll need some very detailed steps.
