Hi
Just installed on an old Advent 7053 - pretty old and sparse! Tried it first in a VM and loved it!
Everything looks good, except I can't get Xorg to play nicely with the Intel 855GME. Anyone done this and got it working?
If I use [c]tazx[/c] and select intel it stops working. Go to a console and try [c]startx[/c] and it complains about agpgart, but this seems to be installed.
I'm not exactly a noob, but haven't played with xorg much and I've come to expect the easy life of ubuntu! I've tried to Google this, but most peoples suggestions involve changing the driver to intel, which doesn't work.
So Xorg.conf works with all autogenerated settings except the driver has to be vesa, and I'm limited to 800x600, even though 915resolution lists resolutions higher than that at 16 and 32 bit.
Anyone have any experience with this?
Let me know if you want any details dumping here to help you help me!
Thanks in advance!

From terminal try the following:
1. su to root (type su, press enter/return, enter your root password and press enter/return again)
2. Type tazhw detect-pci and press enter/return
3. Type tazhw detect-usb and press enter/return
That would probably find and add the agp module you will need, now try tazx again and make sure your online for this.
You can also use lxrandr to alter the resolution easily and you can find a copy for SliTaz 3 on my Website (Click my username) or if your on cooking, just use the package provided in the repository. Then it's just a simple process clicking the resolution you want and clicking apply to change it
