Hi ernia
Aside from a bug in the compilation
libsoup >= 2.33.4 found with glib >= 2.32.1 < 2.32.3:
This combination breaks the download GUI.
See https://bugs.launchpad.net/midori/+bug/780133/comments/14'
for the rest apparently functions

Hi gibor, do you think that it will worth to push it? In cooking i experimented a crash with 4.8 too.
Does the download gui works well despite the error message?
I'm on cooking, i should setup a build environment for stable and i cannot test it, maybe Aleksej could test and push it?

Hi ernia,
Push midori-0.4.8 to Stable wok? Sorry, guys, but... never. SliTaz Stable is Stable until we break it by our commits.
Currently, I have not enought time to sleep with my work. Ok, I'll try to try to compile and test it. Tonight, late. Midori and some interesting stuff too.
By the way, ernia, I don't like your last viewnior commit where you move application icon to SliTaz icon theme. I don't use this theme, and I like to experiment with different icon themes. Please know, that fallback icon theme is hicolor (as compiled and builded) or pixmaps folder.
And I want to request help with compiling some apps with cooking wok. Better, I'll create new topic for it.
Bye!

there's no reason to get so upset, if you don't want to push it (and i agree with you, stable should be frozen and i never push to stable, unlike you) you don't need to compile it, gibor already did it.
i think that is better to have a working icon in the wrong place than a non working icon in the right place, do you agree with this?
now that i know that hicolor is ok i'll put icons there if they don't work well in /usr/share/pixmaps, would this be ok?

Hi ernia,
I've compiled midori-0.4.8 right now using my own receipt, and it great!
I don't know why, but new midori is much faster than old one.
And I return back "green cat paw" to midori pages…
And facebook still not work…
And notification works at the end of file downloading…

Midori-0.4.8 segfault crash's just like 0.4.7 if user right clicks the search box on Slitaz home page file:///usr/share/webhome/index.html
I have not been able to find a bug report about this problem.

mojo, I confirm.
But very first time I pressed right button it was all ok, just like on this text field where I post this msg.
Every next attempt: Segmentation fault
Offline
Confirmed and it's ONLY with our start page. What about it causes the crash?
Offline
are we talking about stable or cooking?
i can right click in cooking.
PS but it sometimes crash doing other things

Aleksej is right, works first time then stop working, it does not work anymore for cooking too.

Both stable and cooking, midori versions 0.4.7 and 0.4.8
Paste this in address: [c]file:///usr/share/webhome/index.html[/c]
Hit Enter key
Right click with the mouse cursor in the box to the left of the Search button will cause segfault.
I indicate this box in midori.segfault.target.jpg below by filling it with the colour red.

confirm the fault only with the page indicated by mojo, but restarting midori restarts normal

hi all,
i downloaded the new rolling iso (02/10/2013). after burning the iso, booting possible without problems. now i started to test several apps. for internet access unfortunately there is no firmware for my ipw2200 wifi. without this i have no access to the internet ;-(
why the rolling iso's have no mountbox, where i can mount my other devices, where i have already the needed drivers, which i can use with slitaz-3.0 and the lovely slitaz-4.0.

i pushed a qt4 upgrade, if it works (and it should do) how do i make cooker rebuild packages depending on qt?
should i modify every receipt (e.g. adding an empty line with a script) or could someone launch a script in cooker server?
thanks

@ernia
Please contact Pascal Bellard, he is the administrator of the build server and sponsor of the slitaz mirror.
He will know the best way to proceed.

thanks for your replies,
how else can i mount my other devices by running slitaz-rolling.iso. is there any other possibility to mount devices such e.g. /dev/sda1 ?

Spacefm+udevil editing /etc/udevil.conf (see back in this thread) or as root in a shell in a mountpoint created by you

o.k. i got it ;-)
after mounting my other device and getting the needed firmware for my wifi-driver, slitaz-rolling runs like hell. very nice. i tried different apps as follows:
midori => first time facebook website is reachable without limitation and midori doesn't crash while downloading files.
wine=> first time that i can use hrmprofil program to produce nice highmetersprofiles without errors. before always some errors accured.
burnbox=> burnbox freezes while blanking a cdrom. i tried several times. after tis step i had to reboot.
gparted=> crashes with "Could not initialise connection to hald. Normally this means the HAL daemon (hald) is not running or not ready."
test of other apps i will report later ;-)

i should have fixed pcmanfm+udisks+gvfs, now pcmanfm should works as usual.
new iso has udevil+spacefm so if you want to test it you should boot an old iso then tazpkg recharge && tazpkg upgrade
pcmanfm+gvfs can handle ssh with unknown servers, i'll try to make smb support work too.
at the moment i'd prefer pcmanfm+gvfs+udisks but i don't know if the iso would grow up too much
Offline
@ernia thanks for fixing - we have now an alternative to udevil+spacefm
as you said: its a questione of size - I think>
1. solution = udevil+spacefm
2. solution = udevil+spacefm+udisk
3. solution = pcmanfm+gvfs+udisks
I will count how much space evry solution with depencies takes
