Slitaz Video - Driver?

Now that I finally got Slitaz operational, how do I clean up the video?  The desktop font is fuzzy even after raising the font size to 15pt.  Fonts inside the applications windows are still very small as well and again very fuzzy.  The entire desk top is at a very low resolution and is not fitting properly in the 22" monitor I have.  I have a XFX (nVidia) GT7600 video card and I'll bet it has something to do with this card and the driver that is default with this O.S..

In searching around (remember I'm very new at this) I cannot see how to handle this.  Any help here?

Re: Slitaz Video - Driver?

which driver do you use?

it should run with nouveau, but better is to use the non free nvidia driver

try to run as root:

tazhw setup nvidia --non-free

Re: Slitaz Video - Driver?

I logged out and tried to log back in as 'root.'  No luck.  What is the login and password for/with root/admin permissions?

Re: Slitaz Video - Driver?

but dont do it from openbox

you said you logged out, but just for security - dont do it from your installation - you should try it before -boot from your CD or usb drive

boot to promt by adding screen=text to your boot line, log in as tux get root

and then start the command
