messy screen after booting

On 3 pc over 4 the last cooking after booting shows a messy unreadable screen.

Which option/parameter have I to specify at boot to eventually show the desktop? Thank you.

I have nvidia graphics chipset 8400GS. To boot cooking without a lockedup garbled screen I have to add nomodeset to bootcode because of nouveau module.
