Hi, ive got a live cd running fine
its slitaz 3.0 loram, i'm attempting to install to a 15gb hdd on a 10 year old laptop with 128mb
it mounts the cd properly but then hangs at a screen that reads
'prepare the target'
'Executing mkfs on /dev/hda'
it hangs at 50%
any ideas
'im a total linux noob, i was surprised i managed to get the live cd working...(with a little help from this forum)

Hello jamesjames, sorry for my bad english. As I know, you can't install SliTaz on /dev/hda, because it's not a partition, it's hard drive. You must install SliTaz on partition. For example "/dev/hda1" or "/dev/hda2" etc. If partition does not exist, you must create it. Run Gparted from Main menu-> System -> Gparted. And create an ext3 partition.

Tazusb, it really works well. One thumb drive plus one downloaded .iso file stored in /root, and you have a working flash drive.
