Hello ....
I am new to Slitaz. I like to install Slitaz on my hardrive. Mainly because I am not able to boot from a USB. I am familiar with Debian - Ubuntu and Python programming.
THis is what i do:
tux@slitaz:~$ blkid
tux@slitaz:~$ kernel (hd1)/boot/bzImage rw root=/dev/null vga=normal loram=LABEL
=/dev/sda1
/bin/sh: syntax error: unexpected word (expecting ")")
Hope someone will help me forwards.....?

It was absolutly now problem to install Slitaz from the wonderfull installer - only that i would meantion to make it more claer where to find this installer in the menu >>> install to harddisk >>> in the menu where also state Create Usb <<< Sugestion from my site.
Now i run in a problem:
I am not able to open the package manager - when it ask for my username and password - witch i fill in it don' t accept it - also not with root - root.
By the install of Slitaz I made a user name and a password and also for the administator/root but this user name and admin name and password it's not accepted.
What is going on here?

Use system root password (from /etc/passwd or /etc/shadow)

Hi
Sorry, I wasn't in SliTaz as I did answer and didn't want to indicate a wrong way...
As SliTaz installation is extremly fast, the best is probably to reinstall properly in the «Slitaz panel» (Menu > System tools >> Slitaz Panel >>> Install (see right in the top bar of the panel!)
so that you get a completely clean installation
Good luck!

I am absolutely impressed by how easy and fast Slitaz installation work. Absolutely the best installer I ever have seen in Linux.
I really like the way Slitaz have his documantation organized. And the Slitaz panel is in one word -- wouw. That all you need to go on.
So by that I have to thank everyone who have created this wonderfull Slitaz.
Greeting Hendrikus
