no wlan with ATHEROS AR9485

Hi Community...

want to run SliTaz on a Samsung Notebook. The wifi card is a ATHEROS AR9485. Slitaz do not support it. Is there a way to make it useable? Is anywhere a SliTaz firmware package for this wifi card???

hi HMA,

I search in web, i found links http://linuxwireless.org/en/users/Drivers/ath9k

It's seem AR9485 supported by kernel >= 2.6.39.

But last kernel include in Stable is 2.6.37, in cooking is 3.2.14.

You can try with slitaz cooking live version.

If you want, I can compile 2.6.39 version for you including support for your wireless card (driver ath9k).

HMA - you are good in compiling - compat wireless on 4.0 should do it

Hi kultex, thx you too! Ok ... i feard anybody says "compile"

Ok ... since i have compiled some things... i will try it out.

DAMN! Cant compile it. Got trouble with the compiling script. sh cant found the script and the functions ar not work in slitaz

is there an update for 5 rc2 ?  I have a atheros AR9565 but it's not working.

lspci shows me i have it

5.0-rc2 has ath9k that should work with ar9565

[c]lsmod[/c]

If ath9k is loaded.

[c]ls /sys/class/net[/c]

If not loaded.

[c]modprobe ath9k[/c]

[c]ls /sys/class/net[/c]

but no, dont work. by default not loaded, i load , ls /sys/class/net

dummy0 eth0 lo tunl0

no connecton on the list

Seems that the wireless light is off. it switch on when i start w7 .. strange
