Not capturing IV's

Hey everyone, I'm new here to the forums. I've been using the latest slitaz aircrack found on the aircrack website to test my WEP encryption. I have the iso on a CD and so far everything is going smoothly except when I attempt to use the aircrack command.I can capture packets for hours and everytime I attempt to crack my encryption it shows only 8 IV's found. Then its says attempting again at 5000 IV's. Am I doing something wrong? I'm using the popular alfa adapter. Do I need to specify either 64 bit encryp. Or 128 ? Thanks in advance
