Hi,
I'm a bit confused on why Midori seems to hang when opening a download dialog, i.e. when downloading from sourceforge?.

However, if I close down the blank dialog, right-click on the direct link and choose "save link as", everything works.
What's wrong?

hi jared19,
several times i got the same issue. but i found out that only the letters and the three buttons are disapeared on this dialog window. if you move your mouse to the place, where the three buttons supposed to be and click on this place, everything works (download, download under ...., cancel). so no hang - only the letters and the buttons are disapeared. but i've no answer why this happens?
since i updated to midori-0.4.8 this didn't happen any longer.

Updated Midori to v0.4.8? How? I checked with tazpkg and the repo said the latest is v0.4.6. Did you use converted deb package?

Software in the stable repo doesn't get upgraded unless it's a security issue.
Midori 0.4.8 : http://forum.slitaz.org/topic/midori-048#post-21848

Thanks for the link.
I tried that, but it's still the same as before, blank dialog box. Even worse. Following aniguenni's suggestion on clicking on where the buttons supposed to be, with 0.4.6 I get the file dialog for where to put the download just fine. With 0.4.8, even the file dialog is blank and can't do anything with it.

We've been having issues with 0.4.7 and 0.4.8, which is why we've held it back in SliTaz 4.

Yep, I can confirm exactly this issue with midori 0.4.6.
I have removed it from my system yesterday.
Then I tried installing Chrome but that didn't work. After installing it, the browser didn't even start.
Now running Firefox; installed the adobe flash player plugin for other linux and voila!
Downloading works fine and I can even watch YouTube now.
