Hi, I do not seem to be able to get ntpd started at boot time and would appreciate if someone can give me some pointers.
On command line I can type ntpd -dl -p <peer host> and get the daemon started. However, when I try to do this in the local.sh or by adding the ntpd the daemons.conf with options and adding ntpd in the rcS.conf file does not start up the daemon.
Thanks.

Try adding it to Openbox's auto-started applications.

It appears only root can run ntpd which makes sense. Never thought about it!! Thanks for the response.
