Hi
I did reinstall "rolling" from web with success. The system works (I did have no access since weeks!). But it can not handle with my sound card (Intel ICH5). As I did not find some ISO for the web installation at http://mirror.slitaz.org , I did include the kernel from the last ISO. The first restart was with success. At the second one, the sound card recognition did start before X appears and stay without some progress at all at the 5 % value. It was not possible to restart friendly (= hard reset with the interruptor!). Next restart, same thing. The sound card recognition blocks the installation. Yesterday, I did yet try an installation. All was good but today morning the PC did emit a terrible high sound after the start of SliTaz.
Was is to do to turn down externaly (using an other Linux) to turn down this terrible sound recognition? Where is the script responsible for the sound settings, and what is to write in it?
Next problem was yesterday, that localhost:631 was not accessible (probably bus or hal problem)
what is to do concerning that?
kind regards

alsamixer can be used to adjust volume settings.
The problem with not finding localhost:631 may be related to cups printing. Check whether you have started cupsd daemon.
Hope this helps.

Hi Gdesilva
Thank you.
Sound problem:
The problem become now more:
With the new rolling ISO, it is not possible any more to access to SliTaz at all!
And as
a/ the old versions don't stay online
b/ tazkpg don't ask any more to confirm that you wish the installation of silly dilly dependencies
you can't do something any more, excepted, but only perhaps, erase all and restart with SliTaz from scratch (::) ...

I just can say - its rolling and not stable - for working conditions please use stable = 4.0
