Marlin file manager

Here is early preview of interesting file manager called Marlin.

Currently its of early stage on my home SliTaz (I use Kult-ex's Rolling ISO to start it).

Today I've compiled Marlin without errors, its a victory smile

It starts, but some icons are missing, and Marlin can't see its plugins, sometimes it shows thumbnails but sometimes no, errors in terminal… But I like idea and look & feel of this file manager!

By the way, Marlin is GTK+3 application, so you'll not see it in official SliTaz 5.0, but we have time to include it to 6.0 wink

Re: Marlin file manager

It's part of the Elementary Desktop enviroment and written in Vala. Check out the other components because it's like GNOME in many ways. Maybe we should write a few of our own components in Vala like Ubuntu did with Unity.
