startx not working

startx not working on my HP Laptop DV6500.

I'm using the Stable version 3.0.

Add the edits in bold text to /etc/X11/xorg.conf

Thanks Mojo. After adding the entries as you advised I was able to see the GUI. But then again my desktop with grey screen. I couldn't see anything from the Desktop. However I was able to see the stilaz menu item from the bottom of the screen. Any solution to the desktop issue? Also I'm using the USB boot for Slitaz. How to make the changes on xorg.conf permanent. I just edited the file manually but it doesn't pick it. Once booted  need to edit again.

I tried $tazusb writefs lzma it works. But still I couldn't see my changes in-tag.

Am I missing anything here Babaorum

Did you just specify a wallpaper for SliTaz GUI ?

(SliTaz menu > Preferences > Wallpaper)
