Slitaz on ESXi - Mouse very slow

Hi,

i'm using slitaz-4.0.iso on our ESXi 4.1 hypervisor. it boots up but the mouse reacts VERY slow and with reaction delays. It's almost impossible to target some icon.

do you have any hint (i'm linux beginner) how I could improve this?

thanks for any help

Have you been using your software for a while and know that it works? What device is running the software etc. I'm not sure if SliTaz is to blame for this, but rather host system.

Re: Slitaz on ESXi - Mouse very slow

by "softwear", do you mean the ESXi?

it is not the latest version of ESXi and that might be a problem. but I cannot update it for the time being (because there are some productive vm servers online which I currently cannot stop).

if I boot a Tails' live CD on the ESXi 4.1, it seems to work fine and the mouse movements are smooth. Tails is Debian based and I don't know if is possible to compare with SliTaz and choose the right video drivers from there somehow.... (bcs I'm linux beginner)

Re: Slitaz on ESXi - Mouse very slow

I have installed the ESXi 5.1 on a different server and then created a slitaz VM on it. The mouse movents are far better using this newer ESXi version. So problem is solved for me using the latest ESXi version.

Great! I meant the ESXi, yes, cause I didn't believe that slitaz would cause these problems, if any it would have been the graphics card which I assumed the ESXi was responsible of. smile
