Slitaz Love!!!

Just wanted to show my gratitude 4 this wonderful OS! I program C and learn more and more each week. I really dig client/server programming and like to make the machines talk and come to life. What's the point of having a OS that you don't learn from it? I'm thinking of designing some shirts and showing some Slitaz Spider love and give em away with a copy of the OS taped to it!!!

BTW can you guys recommend some good apps? like ftp servers(found pure-ftp-pam), c libraries, sound editors(I found LMMS, haven't set it up yet), client/server simulators, etc........

Thanks for your interest on the distribution! You can join our groups at http://scn.slitaz.org/groups/ and post your designs, any contribution is appreciated!

About the apps, you can search them using the command "tazpkg search package-name", if you miss some application, you are free to request them here on the forum or mailing list. If you have interest, you even can start creating packages for slitaz, just read the docs ad doc.slitaz.org and drop us a line on the mailing list if you have some doubts about the process.

Great & thank you for the warm invite! I just love how compact it is combined with

the simplicity and finesse I've been looking for. I'm very interested in the Security

area of this distro, I wan't to learn how to make Slitaz more secure and custom apps

that will rival Backtrack.

Pinch me if I'm dreaming, but wouldn't it be wonderful if

we made this distro smaller and more secure?

I would call it NanoLinux...............Slitaz's little brother (or sister)

I really love the SliTaz Base flavor, the iso size is 8 MB! You can see the packages list here:

I usually start building my flavors using it. Maybe you can use it also as a starting point.
