The SliTaz community has moved to Maille, a forum made for SliTaz.

We looked hard for a replacement for this aging forum, including a move from bbPress to FluxBB last June. But spam bots now get through sign-up even with mail confirmation, and these forum engines are barely maintained anymore. So we wrote a forum in the SliTaz spirit: small, fast, no JavaScript, works on old machines and in text browsers. Everything here stays readable.

Installing legacy nvidia driver (GeForce4 MX420)

I'm following this guide http://doc.slitaz.org/en:guides:nvidia to install legacy nvidia drivers from the nvidia website to support my Geforce4 MX420 card.  Everything goes fine till this step:

make oldconfig && make prepare

At this point I get an error: no rule to make target "oldconfig"

The directory I called this command in was /usr/src/linux-2.6.30.6-slitaz

Also, I've tried the slitaz free and non-free drivers, they both didn't work since they don't use the nvidia legacy driver.
