Printing - Incorrect document type error

Hi,

I have a HP printer network attached to my PC. I can do test prints from CUPS and print from firefox.

However, when I try to print from Leafpad, GIMP or others I get the following error message in the cups error logs.

E [01/Nov/2011:16:54:44 +1100] Returning IPP client-error-document-format-not-supported for Print-Job (ipp://localhost:631/printers/HP_PRINTER) from localhost

Already spent a few days checking on the web and tried various suggestions to the point that I lost all printing capability including printing from the firefox!

Uninstalled CUPS, HPLIP and other associated packages twice with no success. Currently, I am back to where I started from - just printing from firefox.

Has anyone being able to resolve the infamous IPP client-error-document-format-not-supported issue?

YES...that worked! I can print from all apps including Gimp and LibreOffice. You saved me from going insane - thanks.
