hm! it is often so in Linux: the distro invite to use some app's but the built-in libraries are newer as the awaiting libraries of the app's...

what is the most easy way to use the old app?

The concerned app is: xsane

My distro is: the actual SliTaz rolling

pre installed is: libtiff.so.5

the app requires: libtiff.so.3

the app doesn't start.

Hi,

If don't work you can fix missing lib with this:

Open Sakura

[c]su[/c]

Enter your password

[c]ln -s /lib/libtiff.so.5 /lib/libtiff.so.3[/c]

When i have seem error with Skype Dynamic i use this for solve missing lib.
