I just took slitaz 4.0 for a test-drive and...
vlc doesn't work without libvlc, then won't play xvid avi's properly OR full-screen
get-java-?6 didn't work and I had to go
to java.com and get the latest, good thing I knew to go back here:
http://forum.slitaz.org/topic/how-to-link-java-jre-to-web-browsers
gmrun doesn't come to the fore-ground - so needs the mouse pointer to focus on it's window to actually work - arrggh"
get-flash- didn't work from the package-manager, went to cli and now it works
...all these things were the same in 3.0 (a couple of years ago?) - Great to see you've
been looking into the first-time-look of it guys...

I saved this text file in my windows video downloads folder, and when I booted windows
again, it took half an hour "trying to fix startup errors" and then gave me the HP backup and restore page, where I chose a "system restore" which took a further 5 minutes, it's all fine now...

Has anyone else had a similar and/or bad first experience with their slitaz? If so, let me know below

blurple,
My first SliTaz (later 2.0 or already 3.0?) boot my netbook to black console only! No graphics at all. No internet connection, all I have is only mobile GPRS/EDGE connection. Fear to break hard disk into partitions, and want to use frugal install only. How to install video driver? How to install internet driver? It was hell
