dear all,
since a while i try to connect my home computer with the internet via usb wlan-stick above. but unfortunetely it won't work.
lsusb gives me:
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001
Bus 003 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001
Bus 001 Device 003: ID 148f:5370
but how can i activate this wlan-stick?
OS slitaz-4.0

I recommend you to buy an usb-wifi with the Atheros 9271 chipset
if you want no Problems.( ath9k -driver is present in Sz- 4.0, only firmware
is required (also available for 4.0)

I have two news for you, a one bad and one unless:
the first driver or module on kernel 2.6.37 can not compile (error invalid module format)
the other with the kernel 3.9.5 I get the module, but I do not know if it works.
The choice is yours

I only made a quick Test ( install and iwlist scan ),
and it seems to work with a
D-Link
DWA-140 B3 USB
Ralink RT5370 ID 2001:3c15
too.

thank's a lot guys,
at least i downloaded mojo's rt5370-sta-2.6.37.tazpkg, tried a while till i understood, what to setup else and at the end, i could manage with your all help to connect my pc to the internet by this usb adapter.
now, everything seems to work, well.
thank you again. i really love to work with this amazing slitaz-os. :-)

i don't know what happened now.
but i could only post the above. after that, the wifi has broken down and i couldn't reactivate the adapter? and i can not figure out, how i could? maybe there is just one simple trick?

Q:what do you mean with "broken down"?..connection lost but usb-wifi is still on
or a completely power off (lights out)
A first aid:
pull the USB wifi out, wait a moment, and plug it in again, open a Terminal, su to root and type
/etc/init.d/network.sh start
do you see any error messages?..which?

after turning off the pc and reboot, the adapter and the network appeared again, but always with very poor quality (between 0/100 and max. 23/100, while my lifebook shows always min. 65/100). the signal strength shows around 86% - 88%.
i think there is a problem about the wifi adapter itself?
for a moment i could reach the internet. but the connection is very slow. can this happen because of the usb 1.1 version?

regarding the Allnet-specs it should work with usb 1.1.
but as it is such a mini-thing there is not much room for a good antenna.
I often had the problem with dissapearing/not responding usb-devices (usb 1.1) if the Motherboard couldn't provide a stable 5 volt (+- 0.25v) and 500mA usb-power.
With an extra usb 2.0 card everything was fine.
well, you can connect to the net, so I'm assuming that the credentials
in your network.conf are correct.
hmm .. to be honest, at the moment I have no further ideas..sorry.
