xorg-light vs core vs missed characters

i know i have stupid question. but i couldnt understand the logic yet.

* if i use frugal installation with xorg-light, lcd monitor is not going more than 800x600 resolution. (there is no i915modules, maybe that is the reason)

* if i use slitaz 4 - vesa i cant set maximum resolution, screen is slow, keyboard or mouse is not working sometimes.

* if i use slitaz 4 core that time resolution is ok, but sometimes in some computers there are missed characters. instead of mozilla firefox in title shows "mo zl a ir f x" like that. im changing to font or font-size from lxappearance command line. that time fixed the problem until next restart.

(there is i915 module and using it)

how will i find right things to go?

thanks

Re: xorg-light vs core vs missed characters

i couldnt find solution for missed character.

i just start to use Slitaz XVesa flavor.

I guess linux (or slitaz) should do something about video drivers. Even win95 works well about video cases.

anyway thanks
