Ecect does not work in rolling - and I think it is related to udev
Porteus has interesting udev changes - so I just upload the involved files - this is done with udisk2 - so we have to rewrite it with udevil
if somebody wants to help, it would be nice

where exactly u are facing this problem because last time I tried, it was working on hardware perfectly. It was not working with only vmware virtual CD

I have tried booting my and the official rolling iso on 3 different DVD-Roms 1x IDE, 1x USB, 1x SATA - I could not eject the CD with the iso. Only on the USB-DVD-Rom, I could open it manually - and there I had the same problem with a film DVD

Hi Tom,
We have just tried an eject on Lenovo T430 laptop and it works fine. We have tried the:
slitaz-test-3.2.50.iso and booted using ISO.
Installed the iso on USB using Unetbootin on Ubuntu. Added the 'nomodeset' kernel parameter to boot successfully into Slitaz.
Is it possible that you have burnt Slitaz into a CDROM, booting from the CDROM and trying to eject the same from within Slitaz when it is running? That's possibly not a valid use case as the DROM might be in use and locked by the system.

Arun, you might be right, because I just have one IDE-DVDROM, and on this system SliTaz 4.0 with wok is running - I only tried my iso booting from DVD
but I have a USB-DVDROM which is working perfect with 4.0 and it is not ejecting on the testing ISO - so I will put it on a stick and test again.
But there are good news regarding spaceFM and udevil - ignorantguru is back and I can ask him...
the bad thing, I dont have time at the moment to work much on the iso....

Arun, you was right , but it works on only 50% of the IDE-DVDs I have tested - some work and some just do not react - there is no enty in for the device in SpaceFM - no ideay until no, why this happens....

I can't see or download attachments in this forum, whether I'm logged in or not. Clicking one of Tom's files only produces a blank page in FF and in Opera.
