HP Deskjet 2050 on Slitaz

Hi All

I have a Deskjet 2050 that I am trying to run on Slitaz and I am running into issues;  The ppd file I downloaded isn't working for the printer and the driver is not on the list.  I know that in Ubuntu, you have to download the file hplip installer and have it manage the printer. I am not sure if that works on Slitaz.

Any thoughts?

if it works in ubuntu then you have a chance to make it work with slitaz (but it can take a while to make it work)

Check the hplip version numbers, try to find other ppd, preferably documented for the hplip version.

Also Mojo answering to one of my question had posted a new hplip version for 4.0 and rolling (check the forum). I turned out that the rolling version was running as expected in 4.0 (the 4.0 wasnot). You may want to try that just in case.

Sorry i cannot recommend anything better than a try and guess approach on that. I spent literrally hours getting my printer at work.... but it ultimately worked...
