Monitor sleep time?

If I watch a movie, or leave the computer idle, after 5-10 minutes of not touching the mouse or keyboard, the screen goes blank, just like it has a screen saver/sleep time. I searched an option to get rid of this but couldnt find anything. Could anybody help me with this?

Re: Monitor sleep time?

Edit /etc/slim.conf with Leafpad as root and change the line "xserver_arguments  dpms" to "xserver_arguments  -dpms". Then either reboot your computer or simply restart X. Have a look here ...

Re: Monitor sleep time?

Here is a script to control the GUI off the computer or the monitor (you can see movies)

decompress, to install with install.sh as root
