Re: What does the word "flavor" mean

To stick with the cooking analogies used in SliTaz, we name our specialized versions of a release a flavor. This is like having different ice-cream flavors. They're all still ice-cream, but one is chocolate and another is vanilla or banana flavored.

Re: What does the word "flavor" mean

Hallo walen

Ich denke der Begriff "flavor" kann in einer deutschen Übersetzung vieleicht

umschrieben werden mit "anderer/spezieller/besondere Ausführung/Zusammenstellung", oder auch Variante.

Re: What does the word "flavor" mean

From what German I understand, I'd go with 'Variante'.

Re: What does the word "flavor" mean

Thank you for help.
I thougt, I could understand the english language. But it's more difficult to understand the idioms than the language.
But in fact, nobody is perfect. I have to learn a little bit more and the best way is learning by doing. ;-)
I wish you a very good new year.
